Greetings from Ohio, midwest-land, America! I only say midwest-land for I fear you will get lost otherwise. Not many people make it here alive from distant lands. Seriously. I know no one in this state with an awesome accent or from amazing distant foreign lands. Anyway.
I just wanted to drop you a line and say thank you for making amazing music and writing basically what I've been thinking for the last few years of my life. When I first heard of you, a friend sent me a link to "Broken Hearts, Torn Up Letters and the Story of a Lonely Girl". It was three years ago and it defined everything that I was going through at the time. I immediately bought Liberation Transmission and drowned myself in your music. A few days later, I found Start Something and fell in love with that album as well. And recently, after hunting through every store in my area, discovered The Betrayed and once again, you hit every point I have been trying to properly quantify for the past three years. Thank you so much for saying everything that I haven't had the courage to say and for writing the songs that say them.
To this day, Broken Hearts is still one of my anthems and I continually tell people that it was mystically written about me, even though that's not necessarily true. Still, it's one of the few songs I can continually identify with and can listen to on repeat for hours without tiring. Thank you so much for everything you have written (published or not). I look forward to more of your amazing work in the future. Lostprophets will forever be one of the few bands that remain relevant to my life no matter how much things may change for me.
Thank you, thank you, thank you.
-Arianne.

Knowing that the music we create and the words i write out of frustration, make positive influences in someones life no matter how big or small, is one of the most humbling feelings a person can experience. It’s also why we don’t pay any attention to the bullshit, the gossip, the lies, the bitterness and general negativity that radiates from so many cowardly people nowadays, hidden behind their computer screens with anonymity as both their only weapon and defense. We have been lucky enough to have been marching, undeterred by opposition for over 10 years with no intention of stopping, and it’s posts like this which remind us why. Thank you. X
